Most of us hate passwords. And most of us are concerned about how to stay safe when using our computers and mobile devices. Our instructor, Mike McMahon, will do a deep dive into both topics. We will discuss the importance of establishing effective passwords, including the use of password manager software. But beyond passwords, there are more important topics related to staying safe in our digital world. Do you know what they are? The last 15 minutes will be devoted to your questions.
Why Not Google Photos?

Google Photos is a free tool to organize, edit, share, and safely protect your photos and videos. Our instructor, Mike McMahon, will review the basics of Google Photos for those who are new to the topic. However, he will take it a step further and compare Google Photos to other choices you might have (e.g. Apple Photos, Amazon Prime Photos, etc.). He will also explain how you might want to use Google Photos to compliment those other approaches. The last 15 minutes will be devoted to your questions.

Are you planning a big trip this summer…or maybe a “staycation” in our beautiful San Diego County? Our instructor, Mike McMahon will help you to get great photos and videos of your journey. Tips on equipment (including smartphones), photo composition, and photo organizing and editing will be covered. Photos from Mike’s travels will be used to illustrate his easy and helpful tips. This class is always lots of fun and you’ll walk away with some techniques to make your travel photography better than ever. The last 15 minutes will be devoted to questions.

Are you taking advantage of the amazing world of YouTube? Our instructor, Mike McMahon, will help you discover the variety and depth of content on YouTube including how-to projects, software tutorials, cooking demonstrations, and entertainment videos. If you want to hear a particular song, search for it on YouTube. If you need help repairing your bike, you’ll find it on YouTube. The advantages of paying for YouTube Premium will also be covered. Aspects of privacy and advertising will be discussed. The last 15 minutes will be devoted to your questions.
